Your information, explained.

The newsletter

When you subscribe, we store your email, your chosen language and optional state, along with your consent date and subscription status. We use this information to send the Hazlo guides and updates you requested. Your subscription becomes active after you confirm your email.

Location and preferences

On your first arrival, we request browser permission to suggest your state. If you already chose one, we remember it. You can use the location button again. Coordinates are processed on your device to suggest a state; we do not send them to our server. Only the selected state is saved in browser local storage. You can remove it with “Clear selection”.

Most visited guides

We count guide visits to show the most-read articles. We store article totals, without reader profiles or coordinates. Your browser remembers which guides it counted during this session. A temporary in-memory limit helps prevent abuse; we do not store IP addresses in the counter.

Tools and AI coach

The budget, checklist and invoices run in your browser; their fields are not sent to our server or saved to an account. Save your download before leaving. If you use the incubator, your messages, recent history, language and selected state are sent to our server and OpenAI to respond. We do not store these conversations in our database. OpenAI may retain data under its service policies. Temporary in-memory IP limits help prevent abuse. Do not share personal identifiers or confidential information.

Unsubscribe or get help

You can unsubscribe using the link in the email. We keep your unsubscribed status to prevent further messages. To request access, correction or deletion of your data, contact hola@hazlo.com.

Chat with Luz

When you send a message, you share the conversation with Hazlo’s chat service and its AI provider. Hazlo may store and review it to provide support. This blog keeps history in this tab until you start a new conversation or close your browser session. Requesting the team also shares your name and email. Do not send passwords, Social Security numbers or payment information.

Analytics and referrals

If you accept optional analytics, Google Analytics receives page visits, language and clicks to Hazlo. You can change your choice in Privacy preferences in the footer. Newsletter, chat and form details are not sent to Analytics. Links to Hazlo identify this blog, the article and link placement; Hazlo may retain that referral for 30 days to associate it with your signup.

Services we use

Resend processes addresses to deliver messages and manage the newsletter list. Typefaces are requested from Google Fonts. Some guides load photographs from Unsplash, which receives the image request. When you follow a link to Hazlo.com or another website, that website’s policy applies.
